Tournament Rules

The tournament will follow the Ohio High School Rules with an exceptions list

EXCEPTION: A two (2) hour limit will be in effect which begins on the delivery of the first pitch. If an inning starts and the home team is behind the inning will be completed. If the teams are tied after 7 innings, they may play no more than 9 innings within the two hour time limit.

EXCEPTION: DH and EH may be used. However, if you choose to use an EH, you must have 10 players bat the entire game. If you lose a player and only have 9 players left in the batting order, the 10th batter will be an out OR you may replace that player with another player that has not yet played in the game. No more than 10 hitters in a lineup at any given time shall be allowed.

EXCEPTION: A runner may be used for the pitcher and catcher upon reaching base. This player must be someone not in the game or the team's last batted out.

Teams pay $280 umpire fees ($70 per game) by check payable to Ohio Elite Baseball

Teams will provide 2 baseballs per game (1 new and 1 gently used)

The tournament has a four (4) game guarantee (weather permitting)

NO ALCOHOL or TOBACCO is permitted on school grounds including the parking lot at any time

The tournament director reserve the right to reformat the games at his discretion due to any last minute changes in teams, weather, or any other unplanned event. All changes will be posted and communicated accordingly.

Teams must arrive at the field at least 45 minutes prior to their scheduled start time. If the previous game ends early, the next game will start in exactly 15 minutes.

The tournament will have ZERO TOLERANCE for any confrontations by players, coaches or fans. Upon the first violation, the violating party shall be removed from school grounds and will not be allowed to return.

Insurance Verification: all teams must provide proof of insurance for each participating in this tournament. This is the responsibility of the head coach or team manager. No team will play without providing proof of insurance.

The home team is predetermined and listed to the right on the schedule (example: 1 vs 2, team 2 is the home team)

A pre-game infield/outfield warm-up will be allowed for each team's first game of the day only. Infield shall be limited to 15 minutes per team. Home team will take their infield 30 minutes prior to the game and the visiting team will take their infield 15 minutes to the game. If a team has already played, they will not be allowed to take any infield. No exceptions will be made.

Games suspended by rain will be handled the umpire

Each Team must provide at least once (1) emergency contact number to the tournament director where they can easily be reached during the event

According to OHSAA rules, all teams will be required to use BBCOR -3 bats
